River City Robots has been in St. Charles County since 2000 and also supports a Robotic Team for students ages 14-18. The older team was selected for national competition in 2004 in Atlanta, Ga.

Involvement for Lego Leagues center around building a robot and competing in FIRST-style robotics events special designed for their age group. Using LEGO bricks and other elements such as sensors, motors and gears, teams gain hands-on experience in engineering and computer programming principals as they construct and program their unique robot inventions.
