Mission
Statement: River City Robots' mission is
to expose St. Charles County students to engineering through
collaboration with business professionals in the FIRST
Foundation robotic competitions and related activities.
"It
important to provide our children with a good
character model. It is also very important to bring
up scientists and engineers who will maintain our
standard of living and our freedom. Both
ideals are met in the FIRST Robotics Program."

What's New
River City Robots is proud to announce the start of our 9th Season. As
many seniors have moved on to start their technology based futures in
college we have a sizable group of new recruits for the 2010 season.
What an exciting off-season for FIRST in St. Louis!!!
Team 1094 joined several other local teams at the St. Louis Science
Center's International Science Fair SciFest09 where Dean Kamen was a guest
Speaker. We were among the first to hear the FIRST Robotics Championship
competition was coming to HERE for the 2011, 2012, and 2013 seasons.
Hats off to the St. Louisans who were able to convince the FIRST
organization that St. Louis is not only the Gateway to the West but also
the Gateway to the Future!
"Crater Cat"
gets an offseason upgrade
We were very sad to not make the IRI this year. The demand to get into
IRI shows what a great event this has come to be. During the wait we
were able to successfully reconfigured the Crater Cat into a front
shooter. It appeared that all this work was just for the exercise
of doing it until we were accepted to compete at the Cow town ThrowDown
in KC In November. We took a group with a couple of veterans and many
rookies and had a great time, gaining some very valuable driver practice
for the future. The Crater Cat performed very well! Team 1094 would like
to thank team 1730 and all the people who made this offseason event so
much fun.
"Crater Cat" competes at the St. Louis
& KC Regionals! The 2009 RCR FRC team competed in both the Kansas City and St.
Louis regional competitions We hope to announce a trip to IRI very
soon....
